Emergency Preparedness Vision
The RWNA Emergency Preparedness Committee’s Goal is to prepare our neighborhood to be self-reliant for up to three days during an emergency (an earthquake is the most likely hazard). We will:
A. Encourage all members to become prepared and to assist their neighbors to do likewise
B. Encourage volunteers to become CERT trained to coordinate with emergency personnel and help residents within our neighborhood during an emergency
C. Identify members of our community who may need special help in an emergency (e.g., elderly, sick, families with young children)
D. Track key neighborhood resources (e.g., CERTs/ first aid/ CPR trained personnel, ham radio operators, homes with pools, etc.)
